About Me

Welcome to The Wildcat, a blog about all things Leslie H. Walton Middle School. I was appointed principal July 1, 2016 after having served WMS for two years as assistant principal. I have been in education for 18 years having taught in Charlottesville City Schools and served as an assistant principal in Madison County. I have been a proud resident of Albemarle County for the past 16 years.

I live with my wife and three children in Earlysville from which I enjoy the beautiful commute via Red Hill Road daily.

I am proud to be a Walton and a Wildcat. We have an amazing school filled with staff who care for the well-being and the learning of children and who make an impact daily. We have an amazing community filled with inquisitive, bright, and eager young people who make our school vibrate with learning and wonder.

I try to live by the idea of John Wesley who recommended that you should, “Do all the good you can. By all the means you can. In all the ways you can. In all the places you can. At all the times you can. To all the people you can. As long as ever you can.”And I would add, "Do it with gusto."
